Thank you so much everyone!! I hope whomever else waiting on their cases to get approved very soon, inshAllah (God Willing). I'll still stick around atleast until I submit N400, God Willing.

Hm, "To prevent wireless communication with it"?

I assume it has some RFID tech in it?

Perhaps...either that or that passport chip...or ones where they use it in the new credit cards where you only waive it infront of the reader.. The envelope from the inside is foil-like, similar to bags of chips. Check the attached picture.

correct - the new cards have an RFID chip..... like passports.

How exciting for you to get this coveted card in the mail at last!

And to top it all off, it is a GREEN CARD that is actually GREEN! (I hear Obama is responsible for this. Wow, there is HOPE after all.)

Use it in good health. Why not take a cruise to mexico or hawaii and break that card in?

I am confused. My interview was approved on April 28, 2010, and received welcome notice on May 1, 2010. Check case status on USCIS, said card ordered on April 28. Check 2 weeks later, it said card ordered again on may 11, 2010. Since then I have not received anything. Should I receive another welcome notice before the actual green card to arrive?

My mom and I were able to get our green cards due to recent change of law to widows and widowers.
