I'm afraid you're misunderstanding my point about majority opinion. And frankly, I can't understand the majority of your post; I'm sorry. If you'd like to understand more about the vagaries of polling, I'd suggest doing research at fivethirtyeight.com. It will explain how time of day, land line versus cell line, and regional focus produce any poll result you want.

But again, the point is not the accuracy of any poll--although you seem to be arguing for the legitimacy and power of their results anyway. The point is that what the majority wants is not really relevant to social justice. If it were, your "black friend" would still be using a separate drinking fountain.

I do thank you for your respectful reply though.

I am not arguing polls are fact but that they do point to the feeling of the people of USA and that the POLLS are of mixed orgins to determine the results.

Any and all Polls can be targeted and set to give expected results to the agency requesting such a Poll. The poll I have given to you shows a Poll that was taken and results given in the most unbiased of terms.

I have researched fivethirtyeight and although I am condiered a member of the democratic party I disagree with your point that I research at this site which is known to be very left wing in their discussions and polls. This is a flaw to only listen to and think you are educating yourself if you learn only from one side of the fence. To learn and educate yourself you need to listen to both sides and not to the hyped up Bill maher or Hannity or Limbaugh etc.

The rest of my post is stating what most people think is not PC (Politically Coorect) and that there have been changes through USA history were the minority of the popluation disagreed with the majority point in case the Amercican Civil War.

In statements you make it seems you believe that laws are passed with out the majority voting for them and that the minority of the population (not ethnic groups specifically) should be allowed to pass laws above and beyond what the majority of the population thinks.

This is a flawed thought process in order for those laws to be passed the majority of the people voted in the poilitcians that passed those votes or voted for the amendments in elections; if not the laws would not or will not be passed. If they fail to follow the votes of their constituents the political careers of those politicians are most likely over and the next politicains in office will most likely seek to overturn or amend a law to the agreement of those that voted them in office.

Hence the Latino communities anger toward the Obama adminstration failure to resond to his immigration promises of his campaign. Promises he made and led them to believe he could do but have found out he is encapable of executing. (psst Obama do not make promises you can not keep the people are not stupid; they can be fooled once but a second chance is not given)

You keep pointing out that other states don't ask don't tell unless an arrest is made I say great and good for them but it is not working.

Sorry if anything seems over the top on comments towrd you I try and keep it low key.

Did I not mention this to you guys...

PWC is also about 25 miles from DC, so it's not some backwards (in the sticks) county either. The area has had a huge illegal alien population yet has proven law enforcement can be carried out without profiling. Many have since moved to Maryland - the sanctuary state. :)

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

If I am not wrong Maryland is now considering a similar law to stop the excedus to their state.

ICE does not support the local and state govt by taking the people into custody from the local and state agengies when called... and once in custody they dont do the right thing and hit the eject button immediately

This is what can happen when we don't police our borders and enforce immigration laws.... A Local Cop Killer..

Abel Arango was still in the United States after being ordered to be deported back to Cuba in 2000. Arango served five and a half years in prison, but was set free in July 2004 on an "order of supervision," because Cuba wouldn't take him back. Arango, on state probation for fifteen years, was picked up in April of this year in Collier County on drug charges. He spent a month in Collier County jail and was released on $100,000 bond. Two weeks later a warrant out of Collier County was issued for his arrest (for probation violation), but he was never found.

Maryland seems to have caught on that the Sanctuary stance only ends up costing your state money.

America is bankrupt, yet the thought that illegal aliens can access even $1 worth of services, is just ludicrous.

In response to evil1966:

"In statements you make it seems you believe that laws are passed with out the majority voting for them and that the minority of the population (not ethnic groups specifically) should be allowed to pass laws above and beyond what the majority of the population thinks."

No, I'm talking about when the Supreme Court considers issues against the Constitution, not in terms of popular sentiment.

"You keep pointing out that other states don't ask don't tell unless an arrest is made I say great and good for them but it is not working."

No, I don't keep pointing that out. Maybe someone else did.

I appreciate your thoughts. I just don't think we're talking about the same thing.
