Wondering over certain questions my husband and i might get asked, and have no idea if they'd even bother or not. There are a few things that worry me:

- I didn't submit AOS until about 3 months after our wedding, i don't even have a valid reason for that, i guess i just didn't think there was a time limit, and time flew by. Will this be something that will set off suspicion from the IO?

- the only solid things we have that our in both our name is our health and dental insurance, tax's and our joint bank account. Do you think that will be enough? I'm planning on taking affidavits from my husbands parents and my dad, and personal emails and messages also.

-I'm also from a small family, and due to poor health my dad couldn't fly over to be at our wedding, and my mom died when i was young, so sadly no one from my side could be there. I'm worried they will pick on that too.

Has anyone been in my shoes?

Thanks for all your feedback in advance :)

As far as your first question goes, I don't think there should be any issues. As long as you were not out of status in US, you should be fine.

Having utility bills and rental agreement will help as well. As long as you can prove that your family is aware and support your marriage, I don't think you have anything to worry about..... For my chapel wedding here, only my husband's mom and dad were present, and we didn't have any issues during our interview. I was never asked why my no one from my family was present ...... Was anyone form your husband's family present? Even if they weren't I think you should be just fine ..... Good luck

All of my husbands family were there for our wedding which was great, just not mine, but my dad was very happy and i know was sad he couldn't be there.

right now we are living with my husbands parents saving up for a house of our own, which doesn't help my case as there are no utility bills(apart from the cell phone bill) or rental agreements to help our case.

Hi.

1) There is no time limit for AOS as long as you maintain your status, otherwise they don't really care when you file. Some people file in 2-3 years after getting married and have no issues.

2) I think you have a sufficient amount of evidence, and you shouls be fine.

3) I think they won't be suspicious about the fact that your side of family wasn't present. At our interview we were asked who was present at our wedding, and the guy didn't care much that we only had 2 friends there (although he knew we live with my mother-in-law)

Good luck at your interview, and you will be fine!:)
