Some Questions in regards to the US Embassy in Tokyo

Hi everyone,

While my fiancee and I are currently in the process of waiting for the NOA2 we're trying to do gather any pertinent information that will help speed things up (like getting the birth certificate, etc) and also find out what things to anticipate. There are presently two questions I have:

1. According to the predicted time line, it seems that we'll get the NOA2 about 2-3 weeks before the time that she's planning to travel to visit me here in the States. From the time we get Packet 3 from the embassy how much time do we have before we would have to schedule an interview? Her visiting me might cause a delay of a few weeks, but I know that her being able to visit would add more to the proof of relationship.

2. For the medical examination, does anyone mind sharing exactly what kind of tests that are done at the Embassy designated hospitals in Japan and how long it normally takes?

Thank you.

1. She needs to have her interview by the time I-129F expires. The expiration date is on the NOA2.

2. The exam consisted of a chest x-ray, blood test, and palpation, percussion and auscultation by a doctor when I had my physical exam at Tokyo British Clinic. It was very quick and I think it took no more than 30 minutes. Oh, vaccination can be added to the list if she needs any.

Thank you very much! It's a relief to know that the expiration date will be on the NOA2. Thank you also about some of the details for the medical exam.
