Not a single one of those quotes was bragging, just stating some facts. And the bit about sleeping in a mattress with money was sarcasm. I haven't slept in a mattress filled with money since Scotland stopped printing £1 notes. (that also was sarcasm dearie, just to give you some more practice.)

Julian, I think we both know I could bury you in biting sarcasm and rapier wit, but it would be rather cruel of me to do so, since I do care for your fiancee and god help her, she seems to care for you. What I find unacceptable is your lashing out at me for what are clearly deficiencies in yourself -- your inability to treat your fiancee like an adult; that you let your best friend denigrate Melissa and make her doubt her own sanity; for repeatedly fawning over Melissa and then withdrawing (or threatening to withdraw) your affections when she so much as speaks to the wrong person.

Your vile, baseless attack on me leaves me almost speechless. You spoke before of how you were a gentleman. I call BS on that. You are a bully and a coward.

What makes you think you have the right to tell people to leave your personal affairs alone, and then make personal attacks on another member here, one that has met Melissa and offered to help her? What gives you the right to dictate to Melissa who she can be friends with, when you know how much your own best friend pulls her down? Why do you constantly berate her as an adult and treat her like a puppy that gets rewards and punishments? You're in no position to criticize anyone here for not being worthy of a partner.

Believe me, I am not jealous of Melissa. I would rather be in the situation I am in -- for I still love and respect my husband, and believe him to be a good and decent man, even if we could not make our marriage work -- than be enslaved to you for the rest of my life. I could ask the same. What gives you the right to criticize me? Quite frankly I have accepted that my fiancee can't seem to stop sharing bits about our relationship with the internet no matter how inappropriate, and it is something I am just going to have to deal with. But if you and all your friends had any class at all, you wouldn't be such an opportunistic gossip-monger about it.
