hi

just have a question regarding my mom- in- law's case status. So she's got a sister here who is USC, the rest of the sibling where petition way back 1992/ or she applied to petition them. From then an all her 3 sisters were already married with kids. HOw does this work? and how long before she could actually have them here in the states. Thanks so much.. just wondering

and also there is form (I forgot what its called) that they say if ever they visited here and overstayed is okay because there petition being process for them its just the visa numbers are still not available.. can someone clarify this.. thanks

I read the questions 3 times and could make no sense.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

it's kinda confusing. so your mother in law or one of her sisters filed for the others, right. What country are they from?

they cannot come and overstay their tourist visa. siblings aren't elegible to adjust in country.

if their children are over 21 probably they won't be able to come with their parents.

Based on the June Visa Bulletin ( http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4879.html ) the priority date for USC siblings from PI is April 1988. Depending on the date of the petition has she's got 4 more years +/- to wait.

So one Sister who is a US Citizen petitioned the other 4.

They are processing application from 1988

http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4879.html

So 4 years is a good a guess as any.

Their children are unlikely to qualify, but it depends on their ages etc. CSPA may apply, it is a complicated subject.

If she is sponsoring 4 plus spouses plus children she needs to bear in mind the Affidavit of Support requirements.

Depending how old they are there is also Medical Insurance as an issue.
