Just a quick question for the Mexico goers.....Is it possible to do the medical on Sundays? My interview is programmed on a Monday....

2010/01/16: I130 sent at US Embassy Mexico DF

2010/01/19: I130 received (UPS confirmation)

2010/03/03: I130 package returned. Asking for utility bills.

2010/03/03: I130 sent again at US Embassy Mexico with the utility bills...

2010/03/08: Received a call from the Embassy: I130 ok and sent to CDJ

2010/04/12: Received NOA2 by mail APPROVED on March 5th

NVC

2010/03/25: Case number assigned by CDJ.

2010/04/27: I864 and DS230 sent

2010/06/28: Interview... Approved !

I saw that on the website they say it's open only Monday through Friday....I am so excited to have all the week end to visit CDJ.....:( :( ...so perhaps i was hoping for a recent change?

No, sorry...I haven't heard anything like that...Sucks that you got a Monday appointment, but congrats on getting it! Was it mailed to you? Check out Juarez visa forum for ideas for where to stay and where to eat as they have a whole section of the forum dedicated to that. Also, be careful if you buy a return ticket because many people don't get their visa from DHL when they expect it. We are considering buying a one way each way but haven't decided yet. I have had luck finding some flight and hotel packages on orbitz, etc, but from what I've heard they don't continue at the same price if you have to stay longer.

April 19, 2010 - NOA1 (documents received at Mexico City Embassy)

April 20, 2010 - NOA2 (received notice April 28, 2010, mailed April 27)

May 3, 2010 - Packet 3 sent (received May 27, 2010)

May 9, 2010 - I emailed them using the inquiry form asking for my case number

May 17, 2010 - received case number and link to Packet 3 by email

May 18, 2010 - sent Packet 3 to Ciudad Juarez

May 28, 2010 - called Ciudad Juarez to see if we had an appointment yet, they said wait 6-8 weeks :(

May 30, 2010 - I return to the US

June 8, 2010 - called and found out appointment date

June 16, 2010 - received Packet 4

July 6, 2010 - interview - Approved!

July 7, 2010 - pick up visa at DHL and POE to activate

July 29, 2010 - welcome letter received

August 1, 2010 - my husband comes home to me

August 13, 2010 - received Green Card

September 28, 2010 - never received Social Security Card, had to apply for it, arrived Sept. 28

BTW, I have heard that there is a train in Copper Canyon in Chihuahua. I don't have any information about how safe that is or how expensive, but it's a possibility if you don't want to stay in Juarez for the weekend :dead:

Hi, I didn't get it in the mail yet, but called the 900 number and got a LIVE person very quickly! This is great to know in advance because the mail is so slow, I should receive it in two weeks approx. Now making the plans.... Probably, yes, we will buy only a one way ticket. I have the interview Monday at 13h, so I don't expect receive the visa the same day anyway.

I think the clinics are closed Sat and Sun. Nobody had mention that had a medical done on the weekend. :innocent::innocent: Congrats on your appointment letter :thumbs::dance: best of luck

07-07-2010 Ciudad Juarez for the Visa Interview.APPROVE!!
