HI everyone...

Just wanted to make a post to potentially help the "next" person.

As you can see from my signature....we are still waiting on our interview for our K1 VISA. We recently had a delay because apparently we did not send back the ds 230 when we submitted our "notice of readiness". Therefore, we have been waiting for a whole month for pkt 4 which never arrived. It is virtually impossible to get a hold of the embassy. We wrote a letter, email, and called (btw dont bother using the Ireland embassy "paid" line...21 bucks for nothing!!!)....I was a little upset that we at least didnt receive some sort of RFE....so we knew....eventually the embassy called and we submitted the ds 230 only to find out...another wk and a half later that the ds 230 we submitted was "not the right one"....lol. I could not find one on the uscis site, nor the Irish embassy site....the one I have came from VJ. The VJ version appears to be more current, but only 2 pages long. The Us embassy/Ireland wanted the 4 page long version....just in case any other Irish applicants/members are out there. So needless to say....we are now again waiting. Interview date will be no sooner than mid June...probably more like late June early July. I was really bummed yesterday as the wait has gotten to me. I know there is nothing I can do but wait but I am so upset we "lost" over a month!!! Hope this helps someone else :) wish us luck cause apparently we need it!!!!

11/30/09 NOA 1

12/03/09 touch

3/19/2010 NOA 2 (approval) :)

3/25/2010 NVC received case (case is an "expedited case"??)

3/26/2010 NOA 2 hardcopy received in the mail

3/29/2010 NVC forwarded case to Dublin- sent DHL

3/31/2010 Case was signed for at Dublin Consulate

4/13/2010 Packet 3 received

5/07/2010 Sent letter and email to embassy...no word on interview????

5/11/2010 Embassy called saying we did nots ubmit ds 230 with "notice of readiness"

5/11/2010 Mailed in ds 230

5/17/2010 Embassy called stating ds 230 was not the right "version" (got it off this site..fyi)

5/21/2010 Received the "right" version of ds 230/filled it out/sent it back to embassy

6/04/2010 Received interview date!! (finally)

6/08/2010 Interview at U.S Embassy/Dublin!!!!!!***approval pending receipt of a copy of divorce decree :( (one that is a certified copy)

6/17/2010 Visa arrived in the mail!!!!

6/19/2010 Joseph arrives in the U.S. :)

7/02/2010 Married!!! Honeymoon in Sanibel Island, Florida

8/24/2010 Uscis recieved AOS, EAD, AP packet

8/31/2010 NOA-Rejection notice...sent too much money, had to send correct amt

9/16/2010 AOS, EAD, AP recieved by USCIS with correct amt.

9/23/2010 recieved appt for biometrics (10/20)

10/04/2010 recieved RFE, forgot to sign a document. Signed and returned.

10/20/2010 Biometrics appt.

FWIW - The DS in the DS-230 is the Department of State. You will not find many DS forms on the USCIS website as they are Department of Homeland Security.... DS forms are located on travel.state.gov or can be found by using google

DS-230 is 4 pages longs (part 1 & 2)

But you only have to return/submit part 1, which is the first 2 pages, right?

Also, would this be the same for Viet Nam consulate?

I meant to say that I checked various governmental websites...including the one you mentioned...sorry I wasnt more clear.....did I miss it on there??
