I 485 Transferred to California

Hi,

On December 3rd we got a letter saying that our I-485 had been transfered to the California Service Center for faster processing(live in South Carolina). As I understand, this is a good sign and may not require an interview. My question is: how long should this take before we receive any more information. We have not received any more information since December.

Yes, that's usually what it means, no interview.

Thanks! Have you heard of any time frames for green card issuance from California if there is no interview. My wife is a little nervous about it. I have read it could be 6 months to a year. But just want to see what you say from what you've seen here. Thanks

We got notice also that my husbands I-485 was transferred to California, but recieved nothing about the work authorization being transferred. Are they processed seperate after the biometrics appointments?

Wow that's really disheartening to see! Mine was transferred just two weeks ago, I would have thought you would've gotten it by now?

Yup. EAD/AP are processed at the National Benefits Center usually
