To All Those Now Filing I-120f's

Due to complicated circumstances, it took me a lot of extra time to get the documents I needed to file my I-129f, that by the time I got it all together, I could not wait to get it in the mail. I sat up all nite completing my forms, making up a cover letter, and then barely made it to the DHL drop box on time the next day.

Big mistake I think. I just know I'm going to wind up getting an RFE because I missed something. After joining this forum, looking at the examples, reading about what other people have done etc, I just 'know' I missed something.

If I had it to do over, I'd make a checklist, check it twice, and would have given my application an extra day or two to double and tripple check everything, and saved myself the delays of RFE's. If you don't even know what an RFE is, then I most certainly suggest you read enough of these pages to find out.

PS OOPS! Why can't I edit the topic to say I-129f's :P

Ya, that's part of my problem, I kept copies of all the evidence I submitted, but not copies of the forms themselves - I wish I'd found this site sooner :(

Don't stress yourself out too much trying to 2nd guess what you might have or might not have missed. Sometimes, even when you hurry, it does go just the way it is supposed to. Now, when you are more relaxed, get blank copies of the forms that you submitted and go over them, filling them out in pencil or whatever, with exactly the same information you sent in, then match them up to the attachments. You can review all of the materials you have and determine if you did indeed miss something, or if you are just worrying because it is so important:-). Worrying is normal and we all do it, but this way you may be able to re-assure yourself that you didn't miss something after all. If you find that you did miss something, well then you will know what it is and you can prepare it for the RFE when it comes. It will slow it down a few weeks, but it won't derail the process and once you submit the necessary items, will get back on track again. Good luck!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
