wow Jess. I guess you were really bored. But really cool information. So looks like at least 40 of them can be removed from the list. There should be a rule setup saying that if you dont login to your account for over 7 days, the account and the profile gets deactivated. All the information on that account would be removed from the site. Just a random number of days i guess.

There might be a better fix for this. One solution I can think of would be VJ.com sending emails every month to all user who have opted to have a timeline. Each user then will need to follow a special link. They will need to click on one of 3 options:

(1) There was no progress yet on my case, I want to continued to keep my timeline.

(2) There was progress on my case, I want to update it

(3) I am no longer interested in VJ.com timeline, and I would like it abandoned.

Based on the answers above and other criteria, and of course some programming logic, I think the timelines can be made more accurate.

Hopp - yup - on this one issue - absolutely !! (Mox, you've been challenged - throwdown to commence )

I do note - MOX HAS NOT POSTED in the upper forums, at all (for the last 6 months ) - so I'm not convinced he even has an interest in propagating GOOD DATA for the folks with 'petitions and visas in the pipe'.

Hi everyone!

I am one of those OCD people that check the USCIS website every chance I get and am still waiting on our NOA2. I love Visa Journey and am so glad to have this resource to turn to for information and encouragement. And even if the "estimated approval times" and "Igor's List" info is just an estimate, it's still really nice to not only see your little name move slowly up the list, but also to see that others are being approved and that the process isn't just at a standstill. So, please...update your timelines people! If you click on the member profiles of people still waiting for their NOA2 on Igor's List, there are SEVERAL with profile signatures showing that they've already received theirs...but because their official timelines weren't updated, it still has them on the waiting list. And there are a few showing multiple profiles for the same couple, like they started one profile and then started over, and are taking up two or more spots on the list because of this.

So, in summary, do all of us that are THIS CLOSE to pulling our hair out a favor...update your timelines! Show the rest of us non-NOA2ers that there is hope!

Thank you all and good luck,

Jessica

I went to that link (http://www.visajourn...tion=2&sortby=2) and my NOA2 date should be on it as I've always kept my timeline up to date and was approved a couple weeks ago, but it isn't. Maybe there are also some technical glitches?

This has been a pet peeve of mine for 2 reasons:

1) New members (or experienced members who should know better)

ask time-sensitive questions without giving much detail and expect

everyone to solve their immigration dilemmas quickly and accurately.

Nobody knows exactly what your visa journey was unless they can

see it in your timeline.

2) The databases and statistics in VJ are made less accurate by

members not doing timely updates. Stats presented by VJ

are not derived from USCIS data but by voluntary updating

by members.

Yeah yeah you tell 'em. Seriously this is a community and it cannot be a good community if everyone doesn't participate as they are expected to do so. We should have a public internet version of "tar 'n' feather"ing for people who don't update their timeline or don't even have a profile. From now on, if someone asks a question and doesn't have a timeline we shouldn't respond until they fillout the timeline.
