Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Hello, I wouldn't mind some clarification in this area also. I am also waiting for noa2, though my timeline predicts the end of this month, I'm guessing mid to late January. However, I'll be in Thailand with her over New Years, so I'd like to get as much ready as possible.

I believe you can use your NOA1 for the police certificate. I am not clear what you need to make the medical appointment, but I understand you do have to be careful about the 6 month expiration date, which means 6 months to arrive in the USA not 6 months before the interview.

My other question is, when I get my case number, can I contact them embassy to make the interview appointment at that time? General post noa2 advice would be much appreciated :D

You cannot schedule the appointment at the embassy. Rather they shall send the beneficiary notices of receiving the I-129f and interview date along with instructions for additional paperwork.

Do they make the interview appointment at the time they send out packet 3, or when they receive it back? So we can do all the forms, get the medical and police report, and therefore have packet 3 ready to mail back as soon as we get it and cut down on that time?

I'm a Sawasdee thread poster from years back. What happened to this thread? am I really the first poster in 2012? I thought I would bring it to the top.

Excellent! Congratulations to her. My wife and I first met in Thailand in September 2004 as well, but we didn't start the visa journey until Oct. 2008. She'll be petitioning for citizenship this summer.

Hey, guys. I have not been in here for awhile since Teaw is here in the US with me. But, at the moment she is in Buriram on her one month visit and I am heading over at the end of the week and we will return together near the end of March. But, what I wanted to know is if any of you that are either in Thailand or have rented cars over there know of some good car rental outfits that are reasonably priced. We are going to do some driving around this trip instead of hanging in the village and BKK all the time. I enjoy seeing her family but I can't sit around drinking coconut milk too many days or I get crazy to do something!!!! So Teaw suggested that I post in here to see if you have any leads on a good car rental there. Thanks!!
