Question to all of you who have successfully gone through the interview process...

My fiancee will be going to her interview October 19th. After her medical examination, she was given the following vaccinations:

MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

TD (Tetanus, Diptheria)

HPV (Human Papillomavirus)

And that's it.

However, I on the Packet 4 instructions, it lists a host of others:

-- Acellular pertussis

-- Hepatitis A

-- Hepatitis B

-- Human papillomavirus (HPV)

-- Influenza

-- Influenza type b (Hib)

-- Measles

-- Meningococcal

-- Mumps

-- Pneumococcal

-- Pertussis

-- Polio

-- Rotovirus

-- Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

-- Varicella

-- Zoster

Specifically, I am focusing on the hepatitis A/B. I'm very surprised they did not require this one. Any reason to be concerned here? For those that have gone through the interview process successfully, did your fiancees get hepatitis A/B vaccinations?

Thanks in advance.

As long as she went to one of the approved facilities, don't worry.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

It seems like many folks have sent in the I-693 (Medical Exam) with their I-485 (Adjustment of Status). However, in the guides it states that if the overseas exam was completed within one year of filing for AOS, then another exam is not required. As well so long as the DS-3025 is not marked "incomplete" the I-693 is not required. Some folks who did not send in the I-693 received RFE for it. We did not send it in and were approved without incident.

It seems as though there is a bit of inconsistency in the adjudication process.

Kinda funny. It's getting chilly in Texas.

We are not suffering from that particular issue in Phoenix B-) It's supposed to stay over 100 all week so I hope that it isn't warmer than low 90s when she gets her in November :(

Send the embassy an email and ask them what the deal is.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

You should check with them as advised because they could have

a) not recognized your UK divorce documents and somehow got confused about the details of your divorce,

or

b) been waiting for a more thorough check of legal/court databases for any unreported divorce in the US.

or both.

Best of luck; I think this will be just a minor speed bump, not anything to get all worked up about;

just follow-through and see what they say. Divorced folks get K-1 visas all the time; both me and

my Thai wife were previously divorced; she divorced the same husband twice.

They quizzed her on that score at the interview and she gave them an

appropriate answer which effectively ended that line of inquiry.

You might go to your Congressman's office if you can, explain the situation to the person there than can help you and ask them to send a letter on your behalf with the UK divorce docs again AND a letter from you

explaining that you have NEVER been married or divorced in the US and only the divorce from the UK. After an explanation about my circumstance forwarded by the Congressman's office along with letters from her family

they took us out of AP and gave her the visa. I would NOT wait as AP will take several months while they take their own sweet time with it. If they have all that before Gif goes back for the interview they may just

tell her she has the visa then.

I agree with TNT - bureaucrats are funny that way - they can hold

something up indefinitely for no particular reason other than the

fear that a boss somewhere along the line will call them out for

not checking thoroughly enough - got to light a bigger fire under

them from a bigger boss and watch them dance.

Congratulations & hugs all around!

A combine is agricultural machinery from John Deere.

It is also a noun, re: "An association of people or groups

united for the furtherance of political or commercial interests."

A concubine is a "kept woman" (or a woman in imperial China

hired as a contract wife), not something that someone can be part of,

just something that someone can be.

I think you meant to say "harem," which is a place for wives, etc.,

or meaning the wives, concubines, female relatives and servants

occupying such a place.

You now have a harem of 1 - best wishes to you both!
