Was this the second interview?

Yes, this was at the second grilling last Tuesday...the surprise interview after she was told only to bring her passport in.

That's all. They're just trying to sniff out fraud.

I'd like to give them something to sniff!!!!! HAHAHA!!!

So now you know what they were doing during the AP process.

Actually, I'm very surprised that they haven't said anything yet since they are holding her passport.

They knew about her cousin, but didn't know about my ex having being a US citizen. Brats.

Probably because you weren't in AP.

"Actually, I'm very surprised that they haven't said anything yet since they are holding her passport."

When I talked to Teaw this morning before she started work, she said a Thai lady friend of hers she met through visa4thai website who lives here in the US and is married to a Thai man

and waiting for their visa got a call from the embassy about 7am Thai time to question her for 30 minutes. They have been in AP and her husband has been through about 2 or 3 interviews so far.

At Teaw's second interview they asked her about my phone number, which of course she does not have memorized. But she said they may call me to ask me questions. Her friend's husband I believe

had his last interview Monday the day before Teaw did. So I will be waiting to see if they call me tonight to grill me. I plan on asking for a name and ID number if they do because I want to

know who I am talking to and how to identify them if need be in the future. I do hope we get an answer soon.

Hey guys I have a POE question...see if you guys can help me out. We are looking into Laddawan's possible options for her flight to Houston. One option is is from Bangkok to Narita then to LAX to Houston at a good price on continental.com on July26th.

Now her final destination is here in Houston, but would her POE be LAX or Houston? Also what would she need to do upon her arrival to LAX....I dont believe she has to go through immigration or anything untill she gets to Houston is this correct? Thanx for the help guys

If she goes through LAX, that will be the POE. If she has luggage, she will need to collect it and recheck it at LAX for the flight to Houston. It's kind of a pain. Would be easiest for her if the POE was Houston.

Oic....so rechecking her luggage would also mean going through immigration as well in LAX? Yeah it really does seem like a pain...but for approx $400 cheaper ticket making another stop in LAX might be worth it. Thnx

Yeah POE is the first place you enter the US. So LAX will be the POE even though she is changing planes there. I'd shoot for the direct to Houston option if I were you. Immigration at LAX is a zoo, or it least it was last time I went through there. DFW was easy, and I'm sure Houston is probably fairly easy.

Last trip when we landed in LA we waited about 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage and then go through the customs line. I also suggest getting a direct flight, the extra money will be worth it for your fiancee.

I love the BKK->IAH flight on Singapore Air! But if you want the cheapest, it's usually some ME airline into JFK--typically Kuwait Air or Royal Jordanian. I also saw some very cheap flights into JFK on Aeroflot just last week.

Yep, Singapore is an awesome airline. I didn't realize they had a direct flight from BKK to Houston. Are you sure you don't have to change planes in Changi?

Yeah, you have to change, but it's worth it. Free date changes, too. I think the only direct flight into the US from BKK is Thai Air to LAX.

Thai used to go direct to JFK. I took that a couple times. 17 hours non stop. Once you reach silver or gold on Thai (can't remember which one) they send you upgrades on your birthday. It was nice. Not Singapore quality, but still good.

My old company had a habit of bringing everyone together for a 2 day meeting in D.C. every 6 months. One day to get there, two days for the meeting, one day to get back. I spent many nights in D.C. staring at the ceiling in the Marriott trying to go to sleep.

haha

I put my Singapore miles on Continental OnePass as they are partners. I think CO still has the best FF program, and they are my favorite domestic carrier. (No domestics even come close to being competitive on international routes, though.) CO gives standby upgrades and boarding/check-in privileges to all elites.

It's funny, I make gold on CO, even though 80% of my miles come from other airlines.

I'm pretty worried about the United merger, though. United's program sucks, and I think there is a good chance that they will pull OnePass down with them.
