Bank issues.

Wendy tried to pay the $100 fee today at the banco. However was told that her ds156 was no good. No good because we filled it out online, once filled out online you click continue. Then everything you entered is saved as a pdf file on 3 pages. Well 3 pages does not work for the bank. They told her she had to print page 1 out and then flip it over and print page 2 on the backside. I know it's not a big deal, but it's a waste of f'n time. The instructions do not say that it has to be on front and back. :ranting::ranting::ranting:

Also, she was told that the fee was not $100 but 200.000 pesos. So I guess it doesnt matter the the dollar is at 1900 pesos, they still want their 200.000

I think I read someone say the same thing at the bank and that the teller filled it out for them. Don't quote me on that because that was a very long time ago and I must've read it wrong.

That's a bummer though. Hope you can get it straightened out.

Big time bummer. I just hate not doing things perfect. If I would have missed it in the instructions, then all the blame to me. But it's not even on the online instructions. Thats what (%(&^(*^ me off. Any how, we'll just do as told. Print out page one, then flip it over to print page 2.

Now, i'm scared that any other docs need to be done the same.

I got an email back from the vice-consul today with our interview date!!! We are scheduled to be in Bogota on July 23rd!!! I can't tell you guys how happy my husband and I are. The consul even told us that we didn't need to call in to schedule the interview, no more fees required, she personally assigned us the interview date! I spoke to my attorney today, who works exclusively with family based denials and revocations and he said he's never heard of an outcome like ours. He was very suprised and congratulated us on our good fortune. Well...I'm getting everything ready now for our interview and I'll keep the forum updated on our progress. Thanks again for your well wishes and prayers.

Hola todos!

It's hilarious to read some of the comments here regarding the attempts to speak English by some of our significant others. Mi novia siempre dice "parquear" tambien. Ella no haba Ingles, solamente Espanol. I'm Filipino, but I do speak Spanish and I manage to slip by as a local, but once in a while I definitely sound like a gringo trying to speak Spanish.

We are almost ready to have all the Packet 3 requirements at hand. I've seen the link for the instructions and they are in Spanish so that's great. However, I'm still looking for Spanish DS-156, 156K, DS-230 versions.

Anyway, my NOA2 is just around the corner. I got touched yesterday and today since filing. The stars are lining up for us.
