With patience, you will find your love with the help of God.

For now, use this learning experince and move forward.

P.S. Have fun in Barranquilla and do shot of aguardiente for us!!! (but of course be careful)

Chao for now

Um, I think I did. We went on another date today, to see the new Colombian film, ¨El Angel Del Accordion¨. Best film I´ve seen all year. Perhaps one of my favorite 10 films of all time. Onelis isn´t happy that I´m having so much fun here in town, but I´m taking things slowly. Its turned into a real mess...

I did a shot of Aguardiente in front of the Billiards pool hall on Friday night with a group of guys from the nearby bank. We played pool into the wee hours. I bought my souveniers of Barranquilla today, and I am so happy to be returning at years end - perhaps on a new VisaJourney!

Sorry Diana for the hell you´re dealing with at the moment. When you and Andres get married and move to California, we have to have a party or something. You both are great for working together so diligently on this while you are going through such a painful trial. My heart goes out to both of you.

Diana,

I hope my experience helps others starting or planning to start their journey. The truth is I hired that lawyer before I ever found this forum. I had to give a big deposit from the beginning, so I was stuck with them from the very first day. As it usually happens, I found this forum a couple of weeks after my initial payment. In all honesty I can say that the advice that you and the other members of this forum give, is many MANY tiimes better than what I've got from my lawyer.

At this point hiring that lawyer has not only affected my bank account, but also the time it is taking me to get my wife with me in the US. See, when I filled up the forms, it CLEARLY read: K3 cases MUST be adjudicated to the country where marriage took place. I read it not once, but several times. What did I do? Called my lawyer, who told me I shouldn't worry. (he is the expert, right?) Then I called the NVC... same thing. "don't worry, it is adjudicated based on where she lives.. blah blah". And then the Juarez consulate scheduled our interview, so I was happy. They must be right.... right? WRONG!!! They waited for the last second to tell me it should've been sent to Bogota from the beginning

What was the one thing I didn't do and will probably cost me three months or more? POST MY CONCERN HERE!!! I could've requested my case to be transfered to Bogota months ago. Anyway... live and learn. I am not sure if I am more upset with the Juarez consulate, the NVC, my lawyer... or with myself. I walked straight into the trap. AAahhmmm... time to take a deep breath, as one friend told me.

Now... Andres and Diana... you are sooo close!! Don't give up!! You have to do it not only for yourselves, but also for those of us still waiting that big day. It is unacceptable that a "system error" is causing so much stress in your lives. Good luck and please bring us good news!!

Wow, after reading about Andres and Diana's problems at the Embassy I am a little worried and nervous. My wifes interview is in the morning and I am praying that everything goes well. I wanted to go to the Interview but she was insistant that I wait and if necessary go to the second interview if necessary so we could save money.

We went over all the papers tonight and she asked me some questions and how to pronounce the names of my family. I told her just to be honest with her answers, keep the answers short so they don't try to confuse her and if she didn't know an answer to just be honest and say she didn't know.

I know we have plenty of evidence, emails from me and my family, cards from me and my family, phone bills, and photos from all our trips together.

I think I maybe more nervous then she is but I will be praying all night tonight and going crazy at work tomorrow waiting for news.

I am very sorry about Andres and Diana's situation and cannot believe the Embassy is this disorganized.

We also sold our soul to dreaded lawyers. Although for us they have served to give us some kind of hope. I didn't find VisaJourneys until about 3 months after we filed. By that time I had dished out $1800 for just the lawyer it didn't even include the paperwork filing!

Its to late for us to gripe about the money that we foolishly wasted on lawyers...I just wish I would have found this site sooner. I'd be a couple of thou richer.

Thanks for your well wishes...I also pray that your visa comes through quickly!

Wow, after reading about Andres and Diana's problems at the Embassy I am a little worried and nervous.

Dennis

Dennis,

Our situation....the more i think about it....was a total and complete screw up from the embassy. We were just the unfortunate couple that had to deal with their lack responsibility over our application.

We were approved! The same day we had our interview! It was all set to go!

Look..I dont know what they put on the passports to flag the account for administrative processing but our case was just one of the unlucky ones to get a flag.

Mistakes happen and they are only human! God willing everything will go smoothly for your finacee!

I wish you the best of luck and I hope to hear good news tomorrow! Keep us posted!

"DIANA...ARE YOU KIDDING?...YOU ARE BEING CALM ABOUT THIS #######!...I CAN'T BELIEVE THE HASSLE THEY'VE PUT YOU TWO THROUGH!!!!"

Well Scott...Andres didn't get the info...he was silly no to do so...but the person assured him that the visa would be printed and sent out.

I actually took it upon myself to inquire again with the embassy directly today. I think they know me by now! NEways...They said that the call was made in error and that they would be mailing the visa to him in the next few days. Originally we were quoted Wednesday...Andres will call Domesa Wednesday to see if they atleast have it in there possession. If not well I have the written email confirming that the visa would be sent.

Once again! Thanks everyone for your well wishes! You have no idea how much Andres and I appreciate it!

Lots a love,

Diana

:dance::dance: Thank you Everyone At Colombia Club :dance::dance:

Adriana's interview went well and they gave her the Visa. She decide to have fun with me though before telling me. I called her at 3:00 Bogota time and when she answered the phone it sounded like she was crying and upset. I was fearing the worst and she told me that the CO at the Embassy wanted to talk with me. Oh, I felt so bad and told her I would fly down this weekend and we could go in next week. Then I asked her what happened and she said he was asking many questions about my first marriage and about her first marriage.

Then she started laughing and saying she got her Visa. She about gave me a heart attack. I didn't realize that I married a joker  so now I need to watch out for her.:thumbs:

But we are both very happy tonight. My dreams are coming true. I don't think this would have all been ppssible without all the great advice I have received from Colombia Club and others here at Visa Journey.

I will sleep good tonight.

Thanks again,

Dennis :dance::dance::dance:

Hi Diana :star: ,

Thank you, Adriana is teaching and she has been setting everything up so she can travel the weekend of August 16th. I was talking with her tonight to let me know when she wants me to come to Bogota. But she will decide that this week. Her POE will be Los Angeles. At least that is what I am planning.

Thanks again,
