Not quite exactly, but close. Once NVC receives your approved petition from VSC, they will assign a BGTXXXXXX case number and then mail it off to the embassy in Bogota. Your fiance will submit packet 3 to the embassy once the embassy receives the case from NVC.

Byron or anyone, I tried to use that "correspondence" to check to see if I would be able to see the packets that were sent via DHL...just to see if it works. I read in one of the topics somewhere where you can type in the word "Correspondence" and pick a date with two day window and input the origin zip code and you will be able to see the packets that went out during that time. I read it was a way to see your packet going to Embassy wihout waiting on the Embassy to notify when they recieve the packet...can any one varify. I tried it and it has given me an error message.

Thnx

Hello guys, café internet once again...

So we waited for it to be 6PM yesterday for the shot he needed and strangely enough there were a few people from the lab place waiting outside as well... hmmm... interesting I thought. Husband goes in at 5:50PM and leaves at 7:30PM. I waited at the next cafeteria waiting for him and was asked to give up the table I was sitting in because I was there for over an hour. So then my husband comes out and says "that jerk asked 22 people from the medical to come back and have their shots re-taken" 22!!!!!!!!!!!!! He told a lady from Medellín who was there with her sons that they needed all shots even though they had taken them at the Cruz Roja a couple of weeks ago. My husband only "needed" one. Now if he had 22 people come back for shots and told them they couldn´t go anywhere else to get them, you do the math, all of that equals $$$$. I´m only telling you our story so you´re ready. Tell your SOs to get their shots no earlier than a week in advance just in case and it´s up to you to go see this Roa guy. It was a total nightmare.

Anyway, we´re getting ready for the interview. The apartment is awesome, we have it all to ourselves and we´re very comfortable, so thanks to Lucho for the reference.

I forgot to congratulate everyone else, specially Scott!!!! And did Byron get his NOA2 yet, I don´t think I read that in here but then again I´m always in such a rush at these places.

See ya guys!!!

I started out in reverese and just caught up to some of the goings on...sorry I've been out of touch lately.

1. Diana and Paola....I wish you both the best on Thursday, you're both in my prayers.

2. Buck....take it easy these next two days. Its going to work out just fine. I know that if you could, you'd be there.

3. Lucho....thank you soooo much for picking up the torch for Mike and TonyS...you've become a fountain of knowledge for those behind you. I know that you've invested a great deal of time and continue to selflessly help your fellow VJers and I thank you for all of us.

4. Scott...congrats on you're approval!

I'm sure I've missed much more, but I've been working 14 hour days and I'm pooooped.

Chaooooo.....

Byron,

I have a little trick for you that may give you a little piece of mind. Receipt numbers are sequencial, right? So in theory you can screen the on-line status of cases received around the time of yours. I guess if the system is working, you should see other previous cases getting approved, so that would be an indication that you are next (or, worse case, if you see other cases already approved and nothing with yours, then that could trigger some action on your side).

Let me explain: your case number should be something like CSC XXXXXX1462. What if you go on line and check for the status of cases:

CSC XXXXXX1062

CSC XXXXXX0962

CSC XXXXXX0652

and so on. Then you can track them in Excel, for example. Just one word of advice: I believe you can't check more than 7 or 8 cases in a short period of time, or your machine will be blocked for a day or two.

Hope it helps!

I-130, I-129F

June, 07: Sent I-130, CSC

July, 07: Sent I-129F, CSC

March,08: I-130, I-129F Approved

Sept,08: Interview in Bogota, Approved

AOS

Oct, 08: AOS and EAD docs. mailed to Chicago

Oct, 08: NOA1

Nov, 08: Biometrics

Mar, 09: AOS Interview. Approved

Apr, 09: GC Received.

Diana

Diana:

Yazz
