A word of advice to you and anyone else who has yet to have an interview at the embassy. There is NO NEED to get to the embassy too early. No need to start walking to the embassy at 5:10, unless you have a 1 hour walk.

We arrived at the embassy at 6:15 a.m. We were about 4th in line. The line for K and CR/IR visas is never that long....nowhere near as long as the line that tourist visas!

Anyway, based on what I experience and most others have confirmed, your place in the line has no correlation to when you will actually have your interview. So, being first really does not matter....unless you want to stand outside in the cold for a longer time....and you want to be the first to plant your butt in the metal seats once you are inside.

So, it makes sense to go early (especially if you are taking a taxi from across town or a bus), but don't go overboard.

PS - Congrats to my friend from Florida whose wife got her visa approved Tuesday. I am not sure what name he uses on here, so I won't say....he has tended to ask questions directly to me as opposed to posting here....but I believe he has posted before. They had absolutely no problems....other than that the visa could not be picked up until today.

Hi Buck, I see that you are re-living the interview in your mind while Chester and Monica are going thru the motions, I'm trying to picture this myself since i'm gonna go down that road on monday, just getting mentally prepared.

Well, I'm all excite it and can't wait to see Viviana again and spend some quality time with her and of course getting ready for the interview, the only thing is that I'm not gonna have enough time to sleep on friday since I'll be finished working at 1 o'clock in the morning, then go home take shower and practically leave again to the airport, my flight is at 7am..., but everything is worthy to see my girl again................

Good advice Mike. we arrived at 5:30am. The guards did not let anyone go to the "number signs" untill 6:15am and we didi not go thru security to enter the embassy untill about 6:30 or so. It was COLD, with the wind blowing!!!!

Humans being a hearding species, all lined up in front of sign # 3. That all got corrected as soon as they informed everyone where to line up. People were streaming in from that point on. Most for other biz then K visas.

I am going to have Paola be there at 6:00am this time. I did not see where getting there first made any difference in the order you were chose for the interview. It is all a pretty slow process and it is not warm anyplace.

The office of the male doctor, Dr Jairo Roa - did not bat an eye on her vaccinations. She has her original vaccination cards from Comfandi. The doctor wrote the vaccination information on a form and placed them in a sealed envelope. The original vaccination cards remained with her.

Also, do you mind letting us know what the doctor says about the vaccines? Both offices told us they can't be older than 30 days but I just don't buy that.

Yes!!!!! That is awesome, especially because that's where my husband will have his medical at. Now how old are her original vaccination cards, I wonder?
