Hello guys/girls and to the vj's families,I just have few questions,as I mentioned last post I had I got married, and just now we were going to send the Application to adjust my status,I entered the States as a K1-VISA Holder, and got married here.My questions are:

1.)Part 3 Processing information (A)of the Form I-485,APPLICATION TO REGISTER Permanent Residence or Adjust Status Question

.(Place of Last Entry into the United states.)

this part I'm pretty confused if should I answer it with my Port of Entry?or should I answer my husband's place which is ohio?

I flew from manila,my Port of entry is Chicago O'hare Airport, and flew to Ohio.So should I put my place of last entry is ohio or my POE?mmmm confusing,

2.)what are the documents I needed to submit the original copy?

3.Should I include the 3 YEARS taxes and W2 now along with my AOS forms?

Thats all I'm looking forward for some good info from the experts source in vj.God bless us all

1. My port of entry was Chicago O'hare too so that's what i put on my POE.

2. They mostly ask for copies. But Marriage Certificate must be one with a seal "certified true copy".

3. In my case we included my husband's 3 years tax returns and w2's.

2. They mostly ask for copies. But Marriage Certificate must be one with a seal "certified true copy". Completely wrong. The marriage certificate need only be a PHOTOCOPY as clearly stated in the I-485 FORM instructions. The guide is wrong.

1. Where did you ENTER the United States? You stated you ENTERED in Chicago therefore it's Chicago you put on the form.

2. Copies of everything. No originals are needed except for the forms of course. Please see the AOS thread in my signature. It will help you out.

3. Tax transcripts are better than returns but either is fine. When sending returns you need to be sure to include EVERYTHING that you sent with the return. lots of people get RFE's because they forgot a form or two. Transcripts you won't have that issue (there's information on how to get them in the AOS thread in my signature). You do not NEED to show the last 3 years returns/transcripts, but you will need to enter the amounts where specified AND if called for interview you should have them on hand. I personally found it easier to include the last 3 years, then I'd never have an issue.

1. Put Chicago, Illinois (O'hare)

2. You only need supply GOOD QUALITY COPIES of documents. Don't send originals as you won't get them back. See USCIS rules link below. A good copy of marriage certificate and birth certificate is ok.

3. It is recommended to send 3 years but just 1 year taxes/w2 is required. I recommend you send THREE YEARS. Again see USCIS rules below, item 25. Call the IRS hotline and order TRANSCRIPTS for the last 3 tax years....all free! Takes 7-8 days to get them.
