I don't mean to complain and i know that things happen but this is ridiculous. they just decided to stop with March? the last three weeks it has completely slowed down. i know we all need to be patient but what i don't understand is they are doing k-1 visas like crazy and they are almost a month from when they were sent in. the k-3, cr1 visa they just decided to stop. what is that all about?

USCIS service centers (CSC and VSC) all have 'loads' to handle and balance - so if ONE petition type is 'backed up', say for example H1-Bs or Haiti-relief-visas (whatever the heck that is) then the OTHER PETITION types get put on the backburner, for a bit of time, until those 'other' petition types are 'caught up'.

Sure, it sucks, but it is what it is. VSC, last year, knocking out I-129Fs, in a month, came about solely because of this 'shift' on caseload.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yeah man. I thought they had each department for each of these VISA. And each dept just does it's own thing. But looks like they shift people around on different visa types. I should've filed my CR1 the day I thought I needed to file. But I waited 1 month because I wanted to use brand new g325a. Mine were old. I didn't feel comfortable using previous issues. Arg, arg, arg. FML.

i uderstand to shift people around but this is ridiculous. we all pay money so why should they just stop doing it. so they bring these foreignore in for work and us US citizens that live here and get married have to sit here and wait and suffer. this is ridiculous.

according to your timeline, you are well within your window for processing. It has only been a month since your NOA1... Most people get their NOA2s around 60-90 days. It took us 53 days and I had a military expedite (athough I did have an RFE which slowed us down for 30 days...) Just be patient...hopefully you wont have to wait the 5 months for "normal" processing.

I agree. The OP has to realize that all those "foreign workers" are also paying money to get here, and they all have just as valid reasons as we US citizens who have wives and fiances waiting anxiously to come here.Patience is key in the process.
