i think is not enough time, but -

if you miss your flight because of POE, go to the ticket counter for the airline, they should be able to book you on the next flight to Arizona.

Alternatively, you can talk to the stewardess on the plane, ask to be moved closer to an exit door, during the Paris leg, also inquire for 'rebooking assistance' during the flight.

If the flight tickets are easily changed NOW, you might want to pursue that.

ATL POE can go fast, sometimes, though.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I think he will have enough time. Tell him to make sure he takes the train. The lines where he will process are very short. He will have to get his bags in recheck them, but I think he will have time.. I wish you all the best..

Atlanta's airport is huge, but it's pretty efficient. As Cheryl recommended, take the train between terminals (no ticket required). The train is inside the building. There is also a moving sidewalk that goes in the same direction, but the train is much faster.

How much time do you have for the layover in Paris? That's where I had a problem. I would want at least three hours in Paris, though you might make it in two.

ETA: I'd want three hours in Paris because (at least at the time I was there) you have to take a bus from terminal to terminal and do a lot of walking to get through. I made it in about 1.5 hours, but I was running the whole time, and my bags missed the flight.

The problem will be going through immigration at Atlanta, not something I am familiar with but I would think 1.5 hours would not be enough, maybe if you were just changing flights ok, but not to go through the checkpoint. Maybe Atlanta is an easy airport but I would feel better with at least three hours.

I agree. I wouldn't risk it with only 1.5 hrs. I changed flights at London Heathrow with a 1.5 hr layover and it was barely enough time. Going through customs/immigration could take 1.5 hours alone (or more). I agree with the at least 3 hour idea.

My travel agent scheduled flights so my layover was less than 2 hours.

Then someone from the ticketing agency called me to reschedule because they said it had to be at least 2 hours.

In fact, they ended up keeping it the same time after all, but it was very tight getting through customs and caused me some stress.

If possible, switch it to save yourself any trouble. :)

I live in Atlanta and use the airport often. When my husband arrived from Morocco in 2003 it took 2 hours to get through

immigration at the airport. They were very nice to him but had to go through all of his bags

its their protocol. The airport is big but the staff there are very nice, explain to them you don't know

what to do and someone will help you. I've never seen a short immigration line in Atlanta though, sorry.

If you can't change your ticket and miss your flight due to no fault of your own they will put you on another flight.

It happened to me in Paris several years ago. Actually I agree you need at least 2 or 3 hours to get through Paris airport. It's the hardest.

Good Luck

Deb

Check with your husband to find out if your ticket can be changed or not. He can call them to find out...
