travel under k1 visa

Hello, hope somebody can help me regarding this topic, i would like to ask under the K1 visa if i can use it to travel from California to mexico, Is it possible for me to travel to mexico using k1 visa or do i need anything. Coz my fiance have a vacation home in mexico and he residing in California please help .... Thanks a lot

No... You would need a visa to Mexico or your greencard to travel to Mexico...

I believe the k-1 visa can only be used once to enter the u.s and get married. You may have problems coming to the u.s from mexico since you've already entered the u.s from your home country. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong.

Technically you would need a visa to travel to Mexico. They would only check that if you pass the secondary checkpoint.. Like 15 miles from the US border.

More importantly,,, As stated above,, the K1 is a single entry visa,,, You will have a problem upon reentry to the USA. Wait till you get your greencard.

Yes, you cannot leave the United States if you're on a K1 visa (well, you can leave, but you won't be allowed into the country again - I think they are pretty strict about that - so don't chance it!). As far as I know, the only thing besides a greencard that allows you to travel outside the US is a Travel Permit. You can apply for this after your marriage in combination with the AOS. It's going to be quicker than the greencard, but still take some time.
