I asked this question to a black co-worker while his daughter was in jail for going on a "joy ride" in a stolen car. His reply was .....that is where the action was. Life is just too slow in a small town for him.

Well we all know after WW2 many Blacks migrated to northern cites for jobs (as did whites)... and that make sense, but we haven't seen those type of jobs in cites for decades now.

Speaking of cities, what puzzles me is why poor AA insist on residing around inner-cities, where there is no hope of work?

That's already started to change in the last 10 years as younger white people have moved back to the city to live the Friends lifestyle and minorities have increasing moved out into the suburbs. You'll see it when the Census 2010 figures come out.

A lot of it has to do with the parents, parents have to aim higher for their kids and don't blame everything on the past, you can control your future, there's nothing you can do about the past. I have so many of my friends who came out of the projects, they are all doing well, so the environment can play a major role, but parents should be the kids main role model.

with that said we haven't reach Nirvana, even though one might say you have a black president, but it will take some time to change mindset.

One example

When I came for the Job interview 10 years ago, I was asked so many technical questions, what was supposed to be a 30min interview with the engineering manager ended up into a 1hr15 min interview, almost like the dude didn't beleive what was on my Resume, kinda question me on almost everything, we were on the board going through optical drawing, at time even correcting him in a diplomatic manner.

I learned things pretty quick, and 5 months later there was another position that opened up, since i was already in charge of the new project, I was assigned to interview the candidates for my team, 1 guy in particular I was given his resume personally and he was supposed to be a Math Tutor, I used to be Math Sub teacher in College, So when I asked the guy some basic Trigonomery questions he couldn't answer them, I asked him some basic Snell's Law for any optics person, he had no clue. He wasn't BLACK

That may be true among non-dependent blacks. Dependent blacks, the ones the government cultivates, live in big cities becasue big sity mayors get rich building sub-standard housing and billing the Feds 8 times the value of the property. They live where they are PIAD to live.

The blacks moving to the suburbs are not less wealthy than whites living in the suburbs and are not part of this "average" They are also far less likely to vote for racists that keep other blacks enslaved in the cities.

For years, Blacks were segregated and discriminated against by law. We had the civil rights act in 1964 that was opposed by Democrat racists who wanted to continue segregation. Al Gore's father was a leading Senator AGAINST the civil rights act. Immediately thereafter we had the "Great Society" to implement and welfare reform so that the racists could KEEP them segregated by offering to buy them into segregation. The housing projetcs shot up like weeds and we hustled them off where "they belong" Toss in some man made drugs like CRACK and the deal is done.

But now who is going to do all those sh*tty jobs for less than minimum wage? Mexicans!!!!!!!!! So we refromed the immigration laws in 1965 and since then the Mexicans have filled the place of the blacks before them. THAT is why there is no effective "solution" to the illegal alien problem. Politicians painted themselves in the corner. If we effectively eliminate illegals (somethign VERY easy to do) who will do the dirty work? Who will we exploit? Who will we abuse and then use to vote for racists? How will racism survive if we eliminate the victims? Who will "fight poverty" if there is no poverty?
