Petitioner at Interview

When the petitioner attends the interview is he/she involved? do they ask questions of the petitioner? can the petitioner make comments? answer and questions? how do they handle that?

I will be using the Embassy in Poland but would like to hear responses from everyone.

Ieva, not every consulate allows petitioners to be part of the interview.

I hope so. He will come here soon after few weeks, and this trip was planned and booked long ago. We did not knew things could move so fast. Would be only mess and to expensive to come here again after so short time.

All what calms me now is that there are very good references about Poland.

I'm sure my interview in Canada was different then one in another country .. But for what it's worth my fiance ( the petitioner ) was @ my interview with me .. He came to the window with me the first time they called me to give them the documents they only talked to me .. When they called me for the second time i went up alone and he sat with my kids ... the man doing the interview asked to see pictures of us and i said he's right over there sitting with my kids if you would like to talk to him .. he said nea unless he wants to talk to me ... LOL ! So all in all for me him being there wasn't necessary .. but it helped me to know he was right there
