Question #11 asks if you've ever filed for this spouse before. Is this referring to filing an I-129F before, or any type of filing? We filed an I-130 back at the beginning of July, so do we answer "yes"? If so, for place and date of filing, do we put the service center we filed with and the date we signed the forms, or date we mailed them? Also don't know what to put for A# and result.

Thanks,

Mike

We've filed an I-130 before it.

You should click on "NO." You will be submitting the proof that you already filed for I-130 (NOA-1) when you will mail out your I-129F. So these two applications are interdependent. Basically, in this area, USCIS wanted to know, if you have filed for this (which is independent of your current I-129F) or any other alien before and what was the results, etc. You only click "YES," if you filed for this petition or I-130 petition for your current spouse or any spouse alien which had no relation with yoru current I-129F. I hope, you understand what I mean.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
