hello there folks!

I just have a stupid questions: i am going to have my biometrics on june 7,, what should i need to expect? what else do i need to bring with me asside from my passport?

is the interview on the same day? or they will going to schedule the interview on a different day?

my husband is not available on june 7th, but i don't want to delay the appointment as well, can we just go there "walk in" and do the biometrics earlier than june 7th? if so, what can i expect?

by the way, i'm gonna have it in omaha,ne.

thanks guys!

Your interview (if you get one) will be a different day. The biometrics is just for them to take your fingerprints, photos and some extra info about you (height, weight, eye/hair color etc). Walkins depend on the office you are scheduled at, not all of them allow it. You will need to bring your passport, the letter and your marriage certificate if you have changed your name.

Nothing else besides your passport. Of course, the Notice you received. They'll stamp on it and it becomes your receipt.

After biometrics taken, you will be notified for the interview. An NOA will arrive.

My ASC Notice for Biometrics specifically said that, unless you need a translator, you do not bring anyone else.

Like jazz_acid said, they take your fingerprints. In my case, they took nothing else. I walked out of the place in less than 15 minutes.

Cheeers.

P.S. I sort of eavesdropped there when I was waiting for my turn, "Don't change your address. It'll make the process very complicated." I thought it may or may not be to important to keep in mind.

Yes! I am approved!!! :)

It took only two (2) months to be approved. Hooray!

Hi, we tried to walk in in Omaha also. They don't allow walkins. You can go after your date, and it shouldn't be a problem. We got an info pass appt before the date, in order to try to get in early, but when we were there, they told us to come in after our scheduled date. they couldn't take us before. so to be most safe, you could do that. or just go by, and try and talk to them before. that way they'll know you know about your date, so it's not like you're just skipping it or forgot about it.

is it you or your husband who is getting biometrics? If it's you, just go alone. It's pretty easy. They're very nice at the Omaha INS. You can look to my previous posts to find out what I said about the biometrics (it was in January) as I don't remember everything right now. Or I probably typed it in reviews of the Omaha office.

Good luck!
