I just heard that people are setting up to go into West Kingston and take lives if Prime Minister sign Coke over to the US, I'm waiting for my husband to call me back but it's taking so long and now I'm getting worried.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police say businesses in Jamaica’s capital have been closing early as rumors spread that the government has signed extradition papers for a man described by the U.S. as a major drug kingpin.

Police commissioner Owen Ellington says officers are monitoring the situation and there is no threat to public safety.

West Kingston community leader Christopher “Dudus” Coke is wanted by the U.S. on weapons and drug trafficking charges. Observers say any attempt to arrest the politically connected Coke inside his barricaded neighborhood could spark violence.

Local media say the government has denied signing extradition papers.

Prime Minister Bruce Golding has touched off a public outcry by opposing Coke’s extradition.

BLESS ME INDEED!!!!

I'm listening to the Jamaican Radio station as I type and they just stated that the papers has been signed and that local Jamaicans Gangs should not us this as an excuse to kill innocent people in West Kingston and that Coke should be extradited in peace.I don't know where my husband is at because last time I spoke with him he state he was on the road on his way home and now he's not answering or texting me back.

BLESS ME INDEED!!!!

Now my husband just called me and said he made it home safe and that's he's going to watch the 10:00 news because the US Embassy stated that all USC stay inside and keep safe just in case of an outbreak and also people were going crazy at the airport and they had to send police to calm it down.My 5 year old daughter came to me and said "I prayed to Jesus that he protect My ShaunShaun in Jesus name amen", so now I feel better because I know Jesus will protect him and also my daughter had faith that Jesus will, and my husband called, so now I'm going to wait until he calls me back, he say "oh you must not worrie ur self babe I'm ok, you must rest ur head. I said I'll be okay once your here. :crying:

I pray that this titled of this topic get corrected, because it is not true.

I guess you didn't listen/read the Jamaican News like the others, and there is no way to change the title, so I guess it's all about propaganda it's been going on for years with the news media and news paper all over the world. Propaganda, simply put, is the manipulation of public opinion. It is generally carried out through media that is capable of reaching a large amount of people and effectively persuading them for or against a cause. The exact meaning of propaganda is constantly debated, however, and no specific definition is completely true. Some argue that any persuasive communication is propaganda, while others hold that propaganda specifically alters political opinions. However, it is doubtless that propaganda is material which is meant to persuade or change public opinion, and though it often varies in form and technique it always serves the same purpose. Propaganda is communication for the purpose of persuasion. I thank God my husband is safe and all others that are currently in Jamaica now. That's my prayer not the title.

BLESS ME INDEED!!!!
