Household Size for Joint Sponsor

Okay,

Went to the Embassy I-130 and everything approved, now I need to fill out the I-864.

Being that I live in France and my job will not continue in the U.S. I need a joint sponsor for my husband. The joint sponsor will be my mother who is widowed and living alone.

On my I-864 I have a household size of 4 me, my husband and our 2 children who are USC, (though I'm not sure I count the second child because it asks for those on your tax returns and he was born this April so he isn't on my tax returns).

On my mothers I-864 dose she put a household size of 5 (us 4 plus herself) or 2 (her and my immigrating husband). We will all be living with her during the first year and then with the money we save get something of our own, but she will not be declaring us on her tax returns.

I hope my question makes sense and someone can help me, I keep reading the instructions but still don't really get it.

Thanks,

Sheigh

sheigh,

It appears that your mother's household size will be 2.

Oh, I wanted to precise that my question is pertaining to the new I-864 forms and not the old ones.

Thank you,

Sheigh
