Delivery of Passport-Jamaica

Sugar and Myra- any updates on your tracking of DHL? Have they released your passports from the embassy yet. Mine is still saying on hold.

Yea, mine says hold. It says pick up in Kingston on May 12th at 7am and then shipment on hold on on May 12th at 4pm. Nothing since then....

Man, I really want them to get this ###### out so he can get home this week!

Just wanted to share a quick update with everyone. Just got the below from the Embassy. I am trying to see if there is a way to pick it up in Kingston tomorrow. Otherwise, I think DHL will get it tomorrow but then it won't be Monday or Tuesday before they get it to MoBay since Friday is their last day of work for the week in the MoBay office. I will let you guys know what I find out about that being an option. Anyone else have updates?

Last update- and happy update- I think due to my many emails, the Embassy expedited his passport and sent it to MoBay this afternoon. I guess they also called him and said "Your fiance has sent several emails- your passport will be in MoBay tomorrow". Hehe- the power of persistence! It will be there for him to pick up tomorrow by 10am. Just booked his flight at 12:40 tomorrow! YAY! Home in time for dinner together tomorrow night!

KH2010 did the Embassy ever say why they were delaying it, and why it took so long. I hope this is not their normal process because I want to be outta of there on the 10th of June with my husband..

No-they seemed to act like this was normal procedure. They never gave any reason for the delay- just said that they were still processing and there were certain procedures that had to take place before it got released. I know there are others who interviewed before me who still have not received theirs! Best advice I can give-email them often. Make sure every time you email them about anything you have your case number, your name and birthday and your husbands name and birthday as well as the DHL tracking number that you will get at the Embassy once it is approved. I have been told they won't even look at your email unless you have all of that included. Best of luck in a couple weeks when it is your turn!
