Does anyone done this before …??

My wife came to U.S on CR-1 Visa and now on a conditional green card. According to our tradition the wife taken the first name on the husband and her last name instead of the western tradition where the wife take the last name (family name) of the husband …. Now in February in 2009 we had a legal name change done in the local court and I have 3 attested copy of the name change ….

So I was intending to file with her ***New changed Name*** and put her madden name in the ***Other Names Used*** field ……. Have anyone done this before ?

*** Note** her SS, drivers license, and all other supporting document has her maiden name ( When we went to change the name on SS the officer told us to change in Green Card first… )

Yep. As far as everyone is concerned, whatever is on the green card becomes her legal name as far as the rest of the government is concerned. The way you list her name on the I-751 will be the way it appears on the green card. You can provide a copy of the name change to alleviate any confusion on the part of the USCIS examiner.
