You contributed to the Undead! If VJ falls to the zombie hoard its your fault. Oh wait, I added one too to make a point..........

Undeads is Cool.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I saw if you don't have the mental capability to make a dissenting post, then you probably shouldn't be giving a "-1" either.

After all, it turns into a -1 flame fest for some people who cannot comprehend what they are reading.

The whole "-1" thing is a chickenshit way out of publicly voicing your opinion to have it be criticized just the same.

+1

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

To make it clear, having a -1 for the upper forums is useful because 1) someone may provide poor advice; 2) people want to point out that it's poor advice; 3) people don't want to read 15 posts saying "That's wrong!". It opens up an avenue for flamefests to occur. It's a simple way of flagging poor advice.

I think we all agree that the -1 is not appropriate for the lower forums. The necropost from above was from when the debate included having the -1 in OT and P&R. This is not a controversial issue.

Most people including myself don't even look at the bottom corner of that post for that idiotic +1. If someone gives bad advice, instead of taking the time to rate it, quote that post in the thread pointing it out that they screwed up and gave bad advice.

It's still an ongoing issue. I think the most valid arena for bringing it back is the upper fora, and to keep it out of the lower ones. Put a cap on -1s at, say, 2 or 3 a day. It should be used ONLY to show where information given out is poor, wrong or invalid.

No ongoing issue at all. It was considered and rejected. Time to move on and admit defeat.star_smile.gif
