Posted :P. In all seriousness last I looked the topic was "off topic" a lot. I think I did post earlier in here regarding the op's question.

Actually, you never did address the OP in this thread, so if you would please provide a re-cap of your position on this topic, I am sure those of us who support this propsition would appreciate it.

I understand where that could be a problem in OT, but still believe that there is value in making the -1 available in the so-called upper forums to help people identify erroneous information.

-1 ratings easily lead to situations (in many forums) where people can rate folks down simply because they do not like them; or with a mob mentality at times. I saw the abuse when we had it open.

I completely agree with julez. Can't we just have it turned on in the upper forums and off elsewhere?

was that a final answer?

IMO, this 'tagging' is indicative of krewe behavior, as well.

grrr. I so hate krewe behavior.

Day 44: Still no -1. mad.gif

I don't think we are going to get it. I can see where it would get massively abused in OT, but I think everyone is more sane and controlled in the upper topics, and it would be very useful there. We have all seen examples of direly wrong advice, and it would mean that 15 (exaggeration) people wouldn't have to chime in saying exactly the same thing to make sure the OP knew not to follow it.

In all seriousness, yes, I think that would be a very good idea. If I may be so bold, I would suggest the K1 Process & Procedures or Embassy & Consulate forums as candidates. :)

Yes. I think the fairest way to determine whether or not the -1 is a problem is to give it a try!

ewok's post #288 already answered that question.
