money transfer to saudi arabia

my wife's brother just took a job in saudi arabia. he is short on cash & needs some money until he gets his first check. we've sent money to her family in the PI via western union & xoom. i went to both websites & saudi arabia isn't listed, as a country we can send to.

what company do we need to use to send him some money?

can it be set up for cash pick up?

what is the approximate time for the transfer to be completed? (15 min - 2 days etc.?)

www.moneygram.com will allow you to send from the US to KSA online with cash pick up

I have used MG before but not to Saudi and the available for pick up time was with in an hour as long as you got it in before the banks/shops in the country you are sending to closed. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the bank/pick up location opens

Actually with Walmart you can use Money Gram and send money to Saudi Arabia. I saw it in the options today at work.

It definitely is! Also I found that WU is much cheaper if you go into a store (grocery store,etc) and do the transfer versus doing it online. I think it was like $15 to send online at one point and $8 in a local store.
