Ok - lets clear this up!

The passport was in the brown envelope? or in the package you received WITH the brown envelope.

If it was WITH the brown envelope, you are fine.

If it was IN the brown envelope and you opened it, then someone royally screwed up and you will need to take the brown envelope back to the consulate to have it resealed.

Your message is a little bit unclear.

:help:

If the Passport Is in the Plastic Envelop but NOT inside the BROWN envelop you can Open and Take the Passport, Only the Plastic Envelop BUT

DON'T EVER OPEN THE BROWN ENVELOP ,Because Only the Immigration Officer of the Port Of Entry can Open the Brown Envelop,If the Passport Is Inside the Brown Envelop ,You Better go in Person to the Place of Consulate, where you have been interviewed.

The passport is INSIDE the yellow envelope? Or just inside the regular mailing envelope?

Mine came in a gray envelope. I opened it. Got my passport out. The hefty yellow POE envelope that was also inside the gray plastic, has a giant sticker on it, warning applicants not to open that envelope or it could cause significant delay in travel.

Question what does be in that sealed envelope ?

The I-129F petition, the visa application forms, plus anything submitted, plus any casefile notes.

In essence, 'everything' on that human's casefile.

Your entire immigration file is in that envelope. If you had opened it, it would not been a matter of resealing the envelope, as every single document would have to be checked for presence, absence, and correctness. That would take many months.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
