hi everyone :)

today my parents and two sisters had an interview at the isb embassy

im a legal resident is US because of my citizen husband

this summer my cousin is getting married so her parents and my husband sent the sponsership documents for B2 for my parents and sister to come attend the wedding

this is what my sister told me

they didnt look at any of the evidence

kept the passports and gave them a white slip

which said

your non immigrant visa application has been approved

however your application must go some additional administrative processing before your visa can be printed

the timings will vary on case by case basis but may take up to two months or longer therefore please be advised that you should not purchase any air tickets that you cannot change once processing of your visa application is complete your application will be sent to you via the american express courier service

thank you for your patience

the interviewer didnt say anything like 'you got accepted' or 'you got rejected'

can some please tell me what does this mean?

the wedding is in JULY and this has been mentioned in the papers

i have been through several forums discussing the apprival and rejected of visit visa but i havent seen anything like this???

please help.

AP for B2 is very normal for some countries ... looks like they applied in Islamabad Pakistan....to say its a difficult embassy is saying it mildly.....

Looks like they were approved the B2 visa pending security checks

thank you for your reply

just another thing, as i mentioned that the wedding is in JULY.

and from what i have gathered (from other visa categories but given the same white slip with the same reply) that this security check can take up to 16 months.

will the fact that the wedding is in two months, kept under consideration?

and what is average time for security clearance?
