What is the difference between these two?

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years (I will put photos here)

- Proof of ongoing relationship (How about here?)

Also, for G-325A, do I need to submit 4 copies of it? How about the Letter of Intent?

Thanks alot.

Yes as proof of having met in the past 2 years, photos are acceptable. You can also use boarding passes, hotel receipts etc.

Proof of ongoing relationship I think comes into play after your petition is approved and sent to the embassy. When the foreign beneficiary finally goes in for his/her interview, since some time must have elapsed between applying for K-1 and the interview stage, the Consular officers would like to see that you still have an ongoing relationship at that point of time.

I have heard of people sending 4 G-325a copies, but we sent one each(for me and my USC fiance) and it worked just okay.Sending more is never a problem however!

Yes,the letter of intent is damn important. Both of you have to sign and send it,once during your initial petition phase.

And when the interview comes up, another one ,with more importance on the USC's letter with a changed date, closer to the interview date.

Hope this helps!

Hiii!

Yeah, that's right. RIGHT NOW you just need proofs of a relationship and that you met within 2 years (pictures (not a lot of them read the guides to know the exact number i think we sent like 5 tho), passport stamps, credit card statements, etc)

You will need proofs of an ONGOING relationship in next steps.

Best of luck!

Photos should not be considered the "prime" evidence of meeting. (to easily doctored).

Passport stamps, boarding passes, credit card receipts in the other country all are "primary" evidence. They have dates and times.

You do not need photos for this requirement of the I-129F.

Photos will come into play during the embassy portion, where you prove you have a bonafide relationship.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
