hello,

This is Sylvia. I'm from Philippines. i have this trouble that i don't know how to solve. its very complicated. i dont if this is the right place to post a topic. let me start it this way. i've been to usa, through fiancee visa. our relationship got very very bad and worst. i got deported. though the us immigration judge dont want to deport me, but i insisted to get deported. i talked to my ex- husband, he told me that his going to file the divorce. now, that im here...his not cooperating on me. i tried to call him but his not answering his phone. i dont know what to do. he got all my important papers. all my important stuff. please...somebody give me advice. im not really sure if we are divorce...or if he really filed it. how can i know whats really going on. please.....somebody help me.

If you can not contact him, you will need to check if he has filed the divorce papers in the 'city or state' of your marriage. If he has not then it's up to you to file for divorce.

Do you have anyone in the US that can contact your husband to retrieve the papers? And also try to determine if the divorce papers have been filed, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if she initiates the divorce then it won't be recognized in the Philippines, right?
