Well just as hot guy on this forum experienced, my husband was interviewed the second interview today in which the phone call before they stressed to him to bring his cv with him. He was interviewed by 2, an older dark hair american man and the egyptian lady. They both asked him the same questions over and over and over, the guy tried to say we didnt have enough photos when he looked at one of the 4 albums and my husband picked up another album and flipped through describing each thing and the guy said ok ok, he asked how we keep contact, he showed him the huge stack of folders of phone records, and sms.. the guy said all of this??? husband answered yes, so he said give me one, he didnt even open it and handed it back and said ok ok,... the lady said that we need to send the marriage paper they requested during the first interview, my husband said you already have it, she said i need it again is that a problem, he said yes cause you already have it and she said no, and he said yes so the guy looked and found it and said ok we have it.. they asked all the questions from the first interview again and many times. During the interview the guy referred to my baby as my husband son, he told him no i am his step father he is not my child.. the co continued to say his son.. at the end my husband asked if approved or what and the guy laughed just laughed

My husband told him i need to know so i know if i need to find work here or not cause i cant sign a contract to work if i will leave in less than a year, so the guy continued laughing said i need your wife to email me the baby birth certificate and i dont need anything more from you other than your passport, if i need anything from you i will contact you in a few days, if i dont contact you i will send you the passport with the visa in it. Then told him to go pay dhl fee , he did this and then took the reciept to the guy and the guy laughed at him again and said i knew you would be back, what kind of hell remark is that of course he will be back as he has to bring the receipt to him.. and the baby is not his so why in the hell would they want the bc of the baby, i was pregnant when we met and divorced during that pregnancy, and we married after the baby was born... anyway i emailed them the birth certificate and since the birth certificate doesnt have father on it i also sent the paternity test showing the 99.9999% of who the father is. GRRRRRRRRRRRR btw, they didnt even ask for the cv that they stressed so much on the phone to bring

ya - if there is ANY smell of 'visa fraud' - the applicant is treated differently during the interviews.

Sorry !!!

IF they kept his passport though - that is a GREAT SIGN !!

*** moving to IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports but might be better off in MENA or Embassy Section ***

What's with CVs being requested everywhere?

I think all applicants should be advised to carry one to the interview, as a 'just in case.'

hi mystic as i told you in my previous thread when you tell me consular officer ask your husband to summit marriage certificate and you say you already summit and i told you consular officer only trick your husband to check husband and wife communication is there any communication gap between husband or wife and or they talk each other and they know each and every thing about documentation and visa process or not and i think your husband case is fine and your husband got his visa in few week inshallaha there is nothing to worry about it so congratulation in advance and your question about remark this remark consular officer give to your husband because to provoke your husband at the time of interview because sometime consular officer dont like op loud tone or loud voice and counsular officer dont like the interview person give dictation to consular officer because consular officer thought iam the only authority who take dictation to every one no one can dictate me and take dictation with me some officer have a ego problem if your husband give any comments to consular officer at the time of interview when consular officer provoke your husband this comment goes against your husband because counsular officer try to take your husband any kind wrong comments and later use this comments against your husband so iam suggest all the vj member at the time of interview just relax and stay cool

I am sorry they are jerking your husband around Tonya. I believe too, that since they kept his passport that is a good sign. It sounds like your husband answered every questions and provided more than sufficient evidence of the on-going relationship.

With you providing the BC of your baby and including the paternity test should put that to rest. I hope Salah gets his visa quickly!!

They just like to play god

They didnt even give him any paper, nothing. Last interview they gave a white administrative review paper, this time nothing.. guess they do not feel people need to know what is going on with their own lives

hi mystic if consular officer cannot give any paper to your husband it ok ther is no need to give any paper sometime they hand over the paper at the time of first interview if counsular officer cannot give any paper to your husband its mean this is very good sign that mean they dont have any administrative work to do with your husband case your husband case is complete and soon he will got his visa with passport inshallaha so congratulation in advance and dont worry bepatience you will hear good news soon

I had my interview exactly 12 weeks ago, and was told that my visa was approved and I'd get it in a few days. 17 days passed and no passport and no visa, I called the embassy and the operator told me that my application was suspended. I emailed the embassy who then told me I was in AP. My husband had already booked my flight to the US, I'd already said my goodbyes, almost finished packing, etc...you have no idea how frustrating it was and still is - as I'm still waiting!!

Sachi, sometimes CVs are requested for people who have jobs that are considered 'high risk'. When my dad applied for a visitor visa, he was asked to submit one too. Hwe is an engineer, a retired colonel and has worked with NSG and commanded bobm disposal squad too hence knows about explosives etc. I have read of more people like scientists, chemists, biologists being asked for CVs. I guess that could be a reason.

Not sure computer network administration is high risk, who knows, they didnt even look at the cv that they requested at the first interview(btw he had it with him then and gave it to them) and they stressed very heavily before second interview on phone to bring the cv,, for what, they didnt touch it

That's what I was thinking. Makes sense in that case.

hi mystic no this is not include in high risk factor there is a lot of other reasons behind your case for example age gap between husband and wife let supose for example if wife older than husband or husband older than wife or husband or wife 2or 3 previous marriages and then divorce this type of situation is include in doubtful and high risk factor because counsular officer doubtful about husband and wife relationship because counsular officer thought this marriage is only purpose for green card that why counsular officer at the time of husband and wife interview is very very careful and have a very difficulty to take any decision that why consular officer take to much time to complete op interview some time consular officer cannot satisfy so easily that why op wait for another interview and this type of situation is called and include high risk category

Not getting anything can be a good thing. When the CO told us that my husband was approved and would get his visa "in a couple of weeks"

I was more than skeptical. Only because the only thing we left out of there with that we didn't bring in the first place was the receipt for the dhl envelope.
