Documents for London interview

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are preparing the documents needed for her London interview. We are following the instructions contained at this link:

Our question is:

We know that she -- as the prospective immigrant -- is required to bring her original birth certificate and her original/certified divorce certificate. Does she also need to bring my birth certificate and my divorce certificate. She is the non-US Citizen. I am the US citizen.

I know it's probably a good idea to have them anyway, but I am checking to see if they are required... Thanks!

A copy of your birth certificate should have been included in the I-129F application so no this should not be required as they should already have a copy in your case file.

I do however have a certified copy of my fiancee's (the USC) birth certificate. Better safe than sorry. I have basically gone about gathering my documents with the train of thought "maybe i wil need it", if i think maybe then i have it..

As far as divorce documents im afraid i cant say for certain, but i would assume that this was also submitted with the I-129F and so the embassy should already hold a copy, but again its better to be safe than sorry. She might as well have a copy as it cant harm your chances and in the event it does get request by a CO it will be on hand.

I feel like i have a suitcase full of documents to take with me :-) But i just dont want to get tripped up by not having something on the day.

She only needs what's listed on the London embassey website. If she's Polish (looking at your flag) then she will need certified translations of her documents if any of them are not in English.

The interview documents are about her. The only thing about the USC needed is the Affidavit of Support and his proofs of income.

I had my interview on Tuesday and I had copies of everything. I've read to many horror stories on here I didn't want to end up in Additional processing. He was married before so thought they may need proof to show he was divorced, but no didn't need any of his stuff. Hope that helps

I don't know of anybody since 2008 who has ever been asked for the USC's birth certificate or divorce decree.

Hi! I Polish too :-) I had an interview in London on 6th of May. I just had my birth certificate and criminal record from Poland. Made sure she has translations of all documents from Poland.
