Please noet that i'm from England and that is sarcasm. I just got an RFE letter for my adjustment of status asking for our co-sponsor's tax transcripts from this year, so ok, no problem there...but I ask her for them and it turns out she has filed for an extension and won't be paying them until August!!! I asked her to pay them ASAP if she could knowing that she would understand and she said she will but it will still take 3-6wks to get transcripts :( I was hoping to be working in 4wks based on my projected date for EAD completion. Im gonna call and try to sort something out tomorrow but negotiating with the government is like trying to negotiate with a duck. Rant over :D

Did they actually state "tax transcripts" or are you just reading that in to it?

The actual tax return is also acceptable, however you must also include copies of all slips that support the income on the 1040 (W2s, 1099s - etc)

Please noet that i'm from England and that is sarcasm.

It says:

'IRS-issued transcripts of your federal income tax return for the most recent tax year,

OR

The Federal Income Tax form 1040 and supporting schedules filed with the IRS'

I assumed that either one of these would be impossible to get because the transcripts we dont have yet, and the 1040 and supporting documents one says 'filed with the IRS' and it hasnt been filed yet. I will phone them tomorrow and find out for sure though.

Easy fix. The moment the 1040 is filed, which can be done electronically, you can get a printout. Only a few days later, IRS will have accepted the submission already. I filed on 4/14 and had an electronic refund after 4 days in my account. Now, after tax day is over, it should be even faster.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
