Hello,

Is it a must to take our headscarf off for the photo of passport and visa one?.

Hello,

Is it a must to take our headscarf off for the photo of passport and visa one?.

Each place that takes the photos has a set of guide lines that they have to use to take the photos. I wont say that you always have to take off the hijab because i have seen some in the USA that were able to get the pics taken with the hijab on.....i have never found anyone that would be willing to do that i just renewed my passport not that long ago and i asked the lady renewing it for me about it.....she stated that she had seen some come i with it and that it was not too often because of the guide lines that are given to the places that make the passport and visa pics......

My wife did not take her headscarf off for visa, submitted pics, EAD (in US), greencard (in US), or drivers license photos (in US). We also went through the Jakarta embassy. The embassy may ask you to pull it back just a bit so that they get a clear pic of your face but that is all.
