RFE - Passport

Hi,

I today received a second RFE today (do they send them in bits always?) I complied with the first now they say my passport has expired. That is not true. My passport expires on September 17, 2010.

I planned to renew but sent my marriage cert to NVC so now I have to get new certified marriage cert to renew passport but IT HASN'T expired yet.

Should I call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor? Or should I renew passport now even though it hasn't expired. HELP!

what are you filing for? Your time line doesn't explain ? Yes there must be at least six months time frame available before the expiration date on your passport in order for it to be valid.

If you are the alien, your passport must be valid for the entire validity period of the visa.... If the visa is issued today, your passport must have a validity period into the middle part of November (since a visa has a validity period of 6 mos.). Since yours doesn't then it is not valid for immigration purposes
