i got an email just now (CHECKLIST COVER LETTER):

______IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION:__________________________________

The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support form (I-864) for this case. However, we are

still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) and corresponding civil documents for each

traveling applicant to be returned to National Visa Center for review. You will find the DS-230 form

along with complete instructions for submitting the civil documentation required for this case at

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov under the Applicant Document Processing link.

i submitted my ds230 on may 6th so should i consider this as a false RFE???

the AVR says that ""NVC has received the document checklist on may 13"" doesn't this mean the acceptance of ds230???

The same thing happened to me. There appears to be a gap between the time they update the AVR about receiving the package and the actual time when the package is being reviewed. Good luck!

just curious, if it was a real RFE for ds230 lets say a document that was missing or something in the ds230 application itself. do u know they list it out the missing info or doc??? or they send this general email then too??

coz the AVR since the 14th is saying that NVC has received the checklist letter response on the 13 of may but i got this email today??? does it matter???

I have not gotten a real RFE yet, so my response is based on what I have read about other people's cases. When you get a real checklist, the instructions sheet lists what they are asking for specifically. So, if you are missing a police certificate, it says so. If you are missing a birth certificate, it says so. It's very specific. It seems like the AVR gets updated before they start reviewing your documents. So, they updated the system on the 13th, but they probably started reviewing the documents yesterday or today.

You got the email from them today? I wonder if they are working on weekends.

yea i am wondering the same thing if they're working on weekends or not... coz i got the ds3032 acceptance email on sunday and the IV bill became available on saturday.

i'm just confused. the AVR is saying NVC received checklist letter response on may 13 but the operator is telling me that they have no record of ds230 yet and they don't know what the AVR means???

doesnt' the AVR msg means the acceptance of ds230???? that's what wiki says and most ppl on visa journey....

similar thing happened to me

i submitted ds-230 with other required docs and was delivered on may 3rd.,

i got an email-check list letter- saying that they are still waiting for the ds-230 on may 8th.

called them on 10th, talked to operator and was told that on initial review, my package didnt have ds-230-which was not true. and he said he will leave a note so it will be reviewed.-will take 10~15days...

on avr couple of days later said that they got the check list letter response.

and today i talked to operator and she told me they have ds-230 but said police certificate is missing.

i told her it must be there in the package., then she told me maybe there is something wrong with document and is not acceptable...which makes no sense to me- it came straight from the national police agency.

she said they will review it and it will take about 10 ~15 days...

anyway, it has been very frustrating...obviously they do not do a decent job of reviewing documents..

I'm in the same boat. According to the AVR, they got it on the 12th, but the operators do not see that in their system. I think there is a disconnect somewhere. I remember reading that the operators get that information before the AVR gets updated, but I think that must have changed recently. There are several people with similar AVR messages and clueless operators.

Very frustrating!! The case gets delayed because of some inept operator. Bleah.

i realized the AVR is even better updated more than the operators they keep stating they have not recieved my documents and the AVR states they have reviewed the financial documents and found some incomplete or missing documents.i knew in my son`s case i filled 1-864 instead of 1-864w..when i asked the rep about that thats when she stated that they need 1-864w.on my wifes case they couldnt figure out what was missing she told me she think is DS-230

ok thanx for ur responses coz i thought i was the only one in this situation. i know for sure that they'll review my ds230 this week but it's just that i can't wait any longer lolz. i was stuck at the USCIS stage for 6 months coz i wasn't citizen and now i want my NVC stage to be 1 month........lolz

i know.., it is very frustrating.., especially when they overlook something and it costs you another a week or two., very frustration..
