Ok just wondering if someone can clarify. Do I need a local police records check from every city I've lived in since the age of 16? That would mean I would need 18 police searches from 18 cities spanning accross canada. Is that what I need?

Australia for example has a NATIONAL police check so the check we got covered all of Australia. We had to go to the federal police to get it done (remember fingerprints too)

I'm guessing that here that would be the RCMP.. But do I need seperate ones for each province? Thanks

Canada police checks cover all of Canada. I went to my local police station and said I needed a police check for immigration.

Thank you soooo much, I was having visions of a cross country trek from police department to police department. You just saved me sooo much stress!!

Google the DS 169 form. it tells you in detail about Obtaining records. You need one from each county you lived in for longer than 6 months going back to the age of 16. There is a list of countrys that are not required because the Embassy will do the check. i.e. the usa.
