Note:Our papers received by NVC last dec 17 but they returned it to USCIS coz my fiance forgot to answer the part C!

This is what is written in our case Status online.

You have asked these same exact questions in your last post.

You also said your fiance absolutley refuses to contact any politician. In my own experiance the Senator that he would use ( Finestine ) did absolutley nothing to help me so I agree with him. You can not request help from a U S politician. Knowing that & that your finace wont do it either I dont know why you keep asking. If he changes his mind it will do no good to call them. The office is in San Fran where your USC works. Use their web site to download the required form. Send that to the attention of Gloria in that office & she will take action on it. Expect to wait 30 to 60 days for information. Make sure she knows the case is at NVC. I would send her copies of all letters he has.

I advised you to have the USC make an Info Pass appointment. In light of what you say here that wont do you any good now. You now indicate you have a letter from USCIS saying they sent the case back to NVC last month. NVC & USCIS are seperate governmental agencys. USCIS is correct if they tell you they dont have the case. Thats why they sent you the letter.

It seems to me that your case is back in the system & will be acted upon in due time. NVC should be able to tell you they now have the case.

Cathy I dont think you are an idiot. Believe it or not I have been thru all of this exact same thing in my own case. Our took 408 days & I heard all the same stuff from USCIS & NVC. Because of that experiance I have my own opinions on what is effective. I met with USCIS 2 times, wrote 9 letters ( never answered ) & asked Finestines office for help. I was as frustrated as you are so I understand how you feel. I would have asked the next guy off the bus if I thought they would be able to tell me anything.

You are correct in staying with the K 1 at this point. Starting over would be a mistake I think.

I think you are doing great at trying to understand this process. My experiance tells me to advise you that this journey is long & frustraiting. In that light you have to try to not let it all get to you too much & lose faith. The seperation is tough & not knowing when it will be over is tougher. Wanting to start your new life & not be able to is very frustrating. Just try to continue to tell yourself that in the end you will have what you want if you keep the faith.

It seems to me that it wont be long now because of USCIS forwarding the case to NVC. I know they say they dont have it. Same with my case. Trust me when I tell you that a few days after NVC had told me again they didnt have the case I found out that They not only had it; it was on its way to the embassy. I am going to send you a P M & tell you how I found that info.

When the wind blows hard in your face just lean into it & keep going.
