Call the airline to reschedule the flight after she's attended the CFO. You will probably pay a $150-500 rebooking fee. There's nothing else you can do if it's required to board.

my fiance isn't allowed to fly here because she doesn't have the CFO SEMINAR sticker or something like that...WHAT THE HELL!!!! what do i do? shes at the damn airport!

It is a way for the Philippine government to get a few extra pesos before you leave the country!!!

Here is the link: Commission on Filipinos Overseas

BTW...they will send you to BDO to pay for everything and then BDO will try to "con" you into opening an account.

Just tell them you are not interested and they will give your ID back....otherwise you will be waiting in line for hours!!!

She can fly as soon as she gets stamp.

Go to the link shown and it will explain all...what you need to bring and where you need to go.

Look to the options on the website to be sure you are looking at the correct procedure for your process.

Make sure your fiancee knows your mother's maiden name, the reason of your divorce if you were divorced. And I would suggest too that while she is attending the seminar to have your phone on incase she needs to call you for some info that CFO personnel might ask during the one on one interview.

Have her bring photocopies of her ID and NSO birth certificate or passport and also payment of P250.00 for the seminar. The seminar would only last for 1-2 hours, including the one on one interview. Then she will be given a yellow ceertificate which is a requirement for stamping and the sticker.

The seminar is at the 2nd Floor of BDO Building at Taft Avenue, in front of De La Salle University. To get the sticker, she needs to go to Citigold Center, 1345 Pres. Quirino Avenue, corner South Superhighway, Manila. She needs to bring photocopies of her visa, yellow certificate and another payment of P400.00.

The BDO thing is not compulsory, so doesn't need to open an account if she doesn't want to.

Add/edit: Seminar sessions are : 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. She just have to choose which time is convenient to her. But I would suggest she attend the morning session so she still has enough time to get the sticker.

Not trying to rub salt in your wounds, but what were you thinking? You allowed your fiancee get to the airport without her CFO? This is the exact reason I tell everyone to read the guides and the Philippine Forum.

Have her attend her CFO counseling and get her stamp and then she can leave the P.I. CFO can be a pain in the AZZ, but it protects the ladies from getting into a bad situation here in the states. I would rather have these ladies attend the seminar than hear stories of abuse and neglect that happen to some of them once they get here into the states....

Hope all goes well with her getting the stamp! Good luck to you both!

what do i do? shes at the damn airport!

Tell her to enjoy her weekend in Manila.

She can take a taxi to City State Tower Hotel and check in for the weekend. Then she can do some shopping at Robinson's or the Mall of Asia. :)

She can enjoy some delicious Pinoy meals before she leaves Pinas on monday evening.

City State has yummy bulalo. :star:

Meanwhile, you can... :bonk: ...yourself while you read the guides and change her flight. :P
