I give up!!!!

I seriously cannot take this anymore. Everything seemed to be going so great; it took us over a month to actually get the RFE resent, then we finally managed to get the information we needed from our cosponsor to answer the RFE we got, sent it in, got transferred to CSC, and now... ANOTHER one!!!

:crying:

This time it's for the WHOLE shebang again. Last time it was just most recent tax returns. This time it's for the whole I-864 again. For those of you who weren't around the last time, it took us 2 months of phone calls, emails, and home visits to get that form filled out the first time. And that was when we were living only an hour away from him. Now we live 4 hours away and I have no idea how we're going to do it.

I've asked my parents several times to cosponsor us, I've asked my grandfather, I've asked my brother and sister, I've asked all of my friends who have jobs, and all have said no. His cousin was our only hope, and now we have to start all over again at a serious disadvantage. For the last RFE it took us over a month to get the tax return that we needed from him, and he was clearly pissed off at us, and my husband is so pissed off at him that he can't even stand to talk to him anymore.

We have until October 24th to come up with something. I'm thinking about sending in an I-864 just for me, with my current employment information (because I am finally working), and then waiting for the RFE for tax returns (I don't have tax returns from 2005 because I was in school). By the time the response for that RFE is due, I should be able to have my 2006 tax returns to send in, which will show enough income to qualify. But I'm worried that they'll think I haven't complied with their instructions and they'll just deny us.

I am seriously at my wit's end. On top of this I'm working 90 hours a week.

I know I'm kind of in a hopeless situation at this point, and I don't think that there's anything that can help me, but I just had to vent.

I miss you guys, I wish I had time for VJ, but my schedule doesn't let me do any more than peek in every once in a while.

Congratulations to all who have had recent good news!

Sharon

Sharon,

This sucks! I can't believe they would RFE you twice for basically the same thing. And I know what a hard time you had last time. I'll make sure that Wadi gives Majid a call. I'm sure he's beside himself.

Take care! (F)

The thing that baffles me is that he lives here, you're supporting him, bah.

If you send in your current paystubs and a letter from your employer saying how much money you make as the sole sponsor, maybe that will work this time around inshaAllah ta'ala

This is ridiculous and im so mad for you Sharon.

I remember all the drama with the cousin last time and its just so irritating that you have to figure it out again.

What makes me more mad is that hes here and doing fine...you guys don't need a co-sponsor in reality..its just the time when you were in school.

RRR....im thinking of you thats all...im sure your going to come to a solution soon..your a resourceful rockstar it will work out.

peace,

Sarah

I am sure this is so discouraging, I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. My prayers will be with you.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

OMG -- they're asking for the same thing again ???? Unbelievable

I'm really sorry to hear you're having to go through this a second time. That cousin is just jerking you guys around. It's really sad that his own family would promise to help, then treat him like this.

Insha'allah someone in your family will have a change of heart and decide to step up to the plate.

Wishing you all the best in finding a solution soon -- you sure don't need this extra stress.
