I went to my native land BANGLADESH in January 2009 and I met a beautiful girl next door to my house. I was there for 11 days that time. Then I came back to US and started talking to her on the phone for few months & decided to marry her. Since I had no more vacation days left for year 2009 from my work, we got married over the phone in the presence of a marriage registrar & few family member's from both sides as witness. I decide to marry over the phone because I knew the immigration paper work will take a while & I didn't want to waste any more time. So we got lawfully married. Then I went back to meet my wife January 2010 for 10 days. Now our immigration case is at NVC and we expect to get an interview within 2 months. I am just wondering what kind of questions they might ask my wife during her interview? I do have the financial freedom to support her i have already sent all the paper work to NVC. Is there anything we can do to prepare our self for the interview? I will be there with my wife during the interview. Any feedback will be extremely appreciated. Documents I am planning to take with me during the interview :

1) Wedding Pics

2) Joint Tax Return Form (year 2009)

3) Western Union Money Transfer Receipt ( past 6 months)

4) Receipt of Gifts I sent my wife ( VIA ONLINE)

Many Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, All those documents I will carry with me without even thinking twice. I am also thinking to bring the e-tickets of the Emirates Flights every time i flew to Bangladesh. Is there anything more specific I should provide during the interview to prove my relation with my wife?

Many Thanks

we brought along my phone bills for the past couple of years, showing that i called my wife almost every day during the time that we were apart.

Just remember, there's no such thing as too much evidence.

I call my wife every single day but it's not possible for me to get call history since the service i use is a no contract based ( http://www.metropcs.com/ ) . Me & my wife both have the same last/family name. Is there anything more meaningful we can show during the interview to prove our relation ?

Many Thanks.

Our wedding reception was just among few close family members & we do not have lot of pics. I visited Bangladesh in year 2007 for the first time since I migrated to the US. Can we take pics when I will go there for my wife's interview and present as old pics. I am sure we can adjust the date of the camera. I am getting panic because we have ONLY 25 pics from my last visit. Other proofs I have is :

1) Joint Tax Return Form (year 2009)

2) Western Union Money Transfer Receipt ( past 6 months)

3) Receipt of Gifts I sent my wife ( VIA ONLINE)

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

I would not take pictures and try to pass them as older pictures!! It could result in visa denied (as well as being illegal).

Hello,

You need to use Form 1040-EZ. The IRS will assign your wife Tax Payer ID. below are couple of links which you can read to educate your self.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Also please give me some advice reagarding my wife's interview.

Many Thanks

So you left your wife's SSN field blank? Thanks again.

Don't take new pictures and try to pass them off as new. That's lying and you shouldn't lie. All the documents you are taking are enough I think. Seriously, the woman is your wife. It's a fact. You'll be alright with everything you have. Lot's of people do phone-wedding and go through the VISA process with even less documents.

Also, your story is quite similar to mine. Except my parents and family arranged the whole thing and prepared everything months before I met wife first time.

I hope everything I have will be enough. I just don't want to be back to U.S without her. I have advised my wife just now to arrange phone call history report of past 6 months.I believe this can be done for landline phones in Bangladesh.

You will need an ITIN number, so she needs to fill out (or you need to fill out and have her sign) a W-7, and you wil send that in with your 1040 form. (You can use EZ if you don't have to fill out the G-2555 for foreign income earned for her wages). She will aso need to sign the 1040/1040EZ.

You use MetroPCS. I believe if you log into their websites for your account, you should be able to get a nice table of your call log. I use RebTel.com and it has nice history feature that keeps track of all the calls. I also use T-Mobile, which also has a nice history feature. You might have the same stuff from your phone company.
