My AOS got approved! Our interview was at 1:30 PM May 13th(San Antonio TX). We checked in around 1:00 pm. The security guy hates his job... We were called in by the IO at 1:20 pm. I saw a few people were called in before me. It seemed like all the IO had a "mean" look at their faces. They would check both of you out with no facial expression and take you to the office. Our IO actually looks like the IO from the movie "proposal". I was laughing in my head when I saw him. Well, he did not talk to me AT ALL. He kept asking my husband(US citizen) many questions and they started talking like old friends(weird)! I was bored and just looked out the window the whole time. The IO kept putting "approved" stamps on my paperwork. He stopped at our bank statement for a while and I thought there was something wrong with it. He saw that my husband had a purchase at a famous restaurant and said to my husband:"Do you know there is a IRON CATCUS at river walk too?" My husband said no. Then the IO turned to me:"well, you two should check that out. They have great tequila drinks! I havenot done tequila for a long time but try ***. It is really good! " I really did not expect that! Our interview lasted about 25 min. The first 10 min was about AOS and the next 15 was about drinks & traveling. Everything went so smooth! Just dont worry about it! Their job is so boring and they would rather have a nice chat than a "serious talk"!

Thanks for this website. Thank you for everyone gave me help here. You provided me a lot of information and they are sooooo helpful! The IO even told my husband:"your wife is smart cuz she figured all this out by herself." They began laughing like stupid.

Best wishes for those who are going to the interviews in the future!! JUST RELAX AND SMILE~

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to "Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports (Student/Work/Visitor)" as the prior forum is for questions and this one is for updates/progress for people adjusting from visas other than K1,k2,k3 and K4**
