So my understanding of the process is:

1. Get Married

2. File i485 Form

3. Have Biometrics taken

4. Get authorized to work, get advance parole

5. Get AOS approved

6. Have marriage interview

7. Get green card

8. Be happy

Is this correct?

There are more forms to file than the I-485, other than that - that's pretty much the way it goes. There is a Guides link at the top of this page, which will give you all the details of all of the visas.

You are not in the U.S. yet however, therefore, as was pointed out in your other thread, this is not an option for you because you cannot enter the U.S. - presenting yourself as a tourist, when in fact you plan to adjust status to that of an immigrant after you enter.

What marriage interview? You mean, the initial interview for AOS? That's where you will find out whether or not you're approved.

And sometimes you don't receive EAD even until the day of your interivew. It doesn't matter, of course, as long as you're approved and receive a GC in the mail.
